Happy first non-holiday Winter Monday! 😆 As much as I enjoy the holidays, there’s a sense of stillness and true peace once all of the holiday hoopla is over. Now, it’s just winter…. time to hibernate 🐻! (as if I don’t do that all year round 😅)
First order of business: Get my house exterior back to normal! It feels so nice. ☺️
I added the snowflake wreath (again) and a purple frozen mini snowperson! ⛄️ The hello kitty planter stays all year round. 😙
Inside my house, I put away anything and everything festive. I decided to add the My Melody rug and I couldn’t decided which way to have her face. I thought it would probably be cute to have it facing the entry!? Not sure how I feel about it. 😅
So, I’m not sure what to do with this space! Before the Festive tree was here, I had a round table with a crystal ball — basically, this is where I would conduct my seances. 👻😅 I’m kind of not feeling that right now (not in the mood to deal with hauntings lol), but I don’t know what to add here! I was thinking perhaps a painting area.
Aside from that, all of the other rooms in my house look exactly the same as before. 🙂
Let’s venture back outside!
I noticed we had a visitor today…. Yuka! What a cutie. Is it me, or are koala residents really rare!? I only know Eugene (cool dude). 🫣
It’s been a minute since I last checked on the Island dolls!
Oh, so now that the holidays are over, the toys are gone but…… now gambling is in!? 🃏 🫡 😑 As I’ve said before, there is never a dull moment on this island. 😂
If you remember, this was the Christmas tree farm in December! Instead of a farm, it’s now the Winter tree shop where you could go for a serene walk in a (very tiny🤭) forest of snow covered pine trees, and then warm yourself up afterwards with some ramen, hot cocoa, and cookies! 🌲 😄
I swapped the Santa sleigh for some frozen chairs, and the stalls are now snowy with some lights, instead of red and green!
As for my island, I removed all of the festive trees, and anything reindeer/ornament related. I left all of the illumined snowflakes, frozen sculptures, and snowpeople! Oh, I should probably also get new bushes since the holly ones are now out of season. 😬
I have one more update that I’ve been working on…..
It’s the main room in Photopia on Harv’s island! 👏🏻 After using this place A LOT over the last few months, I realized that I never use this particular room. I think it’s because it has too many entry ways. 😂 So, I figured, why not make it a chill/relaxing room!? It can be the room we all hang out in while the other rooms are being put together. 🤣
I guess you can say it’s like a trailer for the actors when they have a little break in between. 😆
Every break room needs a snack machine and comfy couches! And a mirror, of course… in this case, a simple PINK vanity. 😇 Also, I decided to include the hello kitty rug, right in the center of this room because hello kitty is life! (I didn’t decide that)
This actually might be my favorite spot…. the retro ice cream case with all of the yummiest ice cream! 😍 Gotta also love the pink drink machine and foosball table!
Lastly, I added this adorable Cinnamoroll couch. I kind of didn’t know what to put here, but then thought some more seating areas/couches would make sense! I think I might also add a magazine rack right next to the couch! Can you believe I never made the magazine rack DIY!? 🫣 I didn’t even know it was a DIY! You learn something new everyday. 😅
Also, should I add a tv!? I guess a small one on the wall could be nice. Maybe a small table somewhere!? Hmmm… I might add a few things. We’ll see!
That’s all of the wintery and Photopia updates I have for now! I hope everyone is doing great and getting back into the groove of post holiday life. 🤗
