Something I absolutely love doing in New Horizons is celebrating my birthday! Birthdays can be such a polarizing topic…. such a polarizing day! 😆 I will be the first one to admit that I tend to feel a sigh a relief when it’s officially no longer my birthday. Sure, I’ve had some great birthdays, but I’ve also had some pretty boring, “normal” ones as well.
However, one thing you can always count on is your closest villagers dragging you to one of their houses, giving you presents and cake, and best of all…. a freakin piñata!!! You’re never too old for a piñata 😎 and Nintendo knows that! It’s crazy that a video game can make you feel so special on your birthday… no wonder Animal Crossing is so beloved!
I woke up to find Kid Cat outside my door! I wasn’t surprised… he’s always been one of my favorite villagers since New Leaf and we’ve always been pretty close. 🙂
Once inside Kid Cat’s house, I was greeted by Lucky and Dobie! Once again, I’m not really surprised, but I think this might be my first Animal Crossing birthday where I celebrated with all males. 😆 I’m not mad….Lucky and Dobie have my heart!

There goes the cupcakes! What else would be cool to put inside a piñata!? Cookies? Pie! Ice cream!!! I guess if I ever had an ice cream piñata, the ice cream would have to be in a freezer until probably 5-10 minutes before hitting it. 🤣

I’m kind of obsessed with all of them, but the pink cat one is my favorite.
I love it so much that a year after New Horizons came out, I decided to make that exact cake!
I think I did a pretty good job, if I do say so myself. 😊
It was delicious! I used funfetti cake mix, white frosting with a tiny bit of red dye, and m&m’s! I’ve never been a huge fan of frosting, but I may or may not have eaten 95% of this cake. 🤭
Another great New Horizons birthday for the books! I don’t think I’ll ever stop celebrating my birthday in New Horizons…. until we get a new Animal Crossing game that is! 😉
