And these two have so much in common! (I might be the common denominator š)
Hereās a long backstory on how I came to this decision: (itās been a long time coming!) I knew around the time I started this blog (September), that I would eventually add a Hello Kitty section. Back in the summer, Nintendo announced that Hello Kitty Island Adventure would be arriving on Nintendo Switch in 2025 (what a glorious day). At the time, I was already thinking of starting a blog dedicated to my favorite game ever ā Animal Crossing!

Hello Kitty Island Adventure just so happens to be my other favorite game ever. How do I know? Luckily, I was able to get a 3 month free trial for Apple Arcade andā¦.. the rest is history! I had a feeling it would eventually come out on the Switch, so I didnāt fret too much after my trial ended (but my heart was yearning for this game) and now here we are! š¤

So, what does Animal Crossing and Hello Kitty have in common!? For starters, they both originated in Japan. I feel like Japanās second name should be Kawaii Country (if you google this, Japan actually does pop up š¤£). I know Japan has so many other amazing things besides cute stuff, but seriously WHY IS EVERYTHING CUTE AND ADORABLE FROM JAPAN!!!?!
(Btw, Iām aware that Sanrio is the company that created Hello Kitty and all of the other fabulous characters, but because the game is called Hello Kitty Island Adventure, Iām just going to say Hello Kitty!)

I donāt think thereās anything other than Animal Crossing and Hello Kitty that makes me squeal with joy because of how insanely cute everything is (but also Miffy, and San-X, and Sylvanian Families :).
The other point I must mention isā¦. The Animal Crossing X Sanrio Collab!!!!!!!!!! I feel like I donāt even need to say anything else.
Thanks for readingā¦. Iāll see you in a few days!

I kid, of course. But for realā¦..the Animal Crossing and Sanrio crossover!? This collab first came about when New Leaf was out. A game that I was actually playing. I nearly lost my damn mind when I found out and immediately bought a bootleg pack of Sanrio amiibos because the real ones were discontinued or super expensive on eBay. š«” š
Fortunately, these same amiibos worked when the Sanrio villagers and items were later added in New Horizons!
I think the last thing I want to touch on is how similar these two games are. Theyāre not exactly the same, but both games take place on an island, and accomplishing a variation of tasks is sort of the main objective. Hello Kitty Island Adventure has more of a storyline, but thatās what makes it unique from Animal Crossing. I love them both so much and Iām so happy to welcome Hello Kitty Island Adventure to my little internet world!

Iām still not exactly sure what my posts will be like. I think I would like to focus solely on Hello Kitty Island Adventure for the next few weeks, and then eventually incorporate Animal Crossing again. After December, Iāve been posting twice a week (Mondays and Thursdays), and I will probably continue this schedule. Thereās a chance that some weeks I might do more than two posts, depending on whatās going on with HKIA (wow, not sure how I feel about this acronym š). Speaking of acronyms, I need to figure out how to refer to this game because typing out Hello Kitty Island Adventure constantly is a lot. Maybe HK Island Adventure!? š Or should I just get used to HKIA? š

Anywho, if youāre reading this, hi and wow, thank you for reading all of this!
Next time I see you, I’ll be on an island with the cutest and kindest friends a girl could ever have. š± š° šø š¶ š§ š„°
