Trash-Eating Plants, Bubble Wand, and Pochacco's Birthday! 🥳

Hello! 👋🏻 Today’s post is a bit more chill than the last two, but still eventful nonetheless! I mean, honestly, has this game ever been boring or uneventful in the slightest since I’ve started playing? No!!!! So, we still haven’t met this mystery character who occupies Merry Meadow, but I feel we are getting closer! We also finally clean up the trash bags in Rainbow Reef (thanks to a very unique plant), figure out a ✨magical✨way to catch some underwater sea creatures, help promote Pompompurin’s business, and…. celebrate a birthday!!! 🤗

Oh and before we begin… Spring has arrived here at Seaside Resort! 🌸 The Springtime Celebration Event is now in full swing and all of the cute Sakura and Spring items are available to buy in exchange for some Petals. These items are so up my alley (or Ali 😜). Give me anything pink and flowery please! Like that bed. 😍

Curiouser and Curiouser

So Chococat thinks it would be a great idea to leave a couple of gifts for this mystery friend and I couldn’t agree more. Time to go talk to everyone Chococat suggested (the list is kind of questionable, not gonna lie 😂).

Also, kind of random, but I love that the title of this quest is called “Curiouser and Curiouser”. I really do wonder if Merry Meadow was inspired by Alice in Wonderland. 😊

Badtz-Maru is not wrong…. except he suggested pineapple as a topping. 🤢 Yes, I will die on that hill: pineapple does NOT belong on pizza!

How can you not love a Rockadoodler!? Not what I expected (or maybe from Hangyodon it is), but I’m loving this gift idea.

When we got to Merry Meadow to deliver the gifts, we bumped into Cinnamoroll! Apparently, he’s friends with this mysterious being. At least we know she’s nice.

I hope she loves her present! 🎁

Revive the Oasis

It’s really admirable how much Keroppi cares about the environment! I’m glad we’re finally addressing all of the trash bags. I’ve actually been collecting them whenever I’m around Rainbow Reef. 🙂

Yay, HK wants to join us!

I think I say this in every post now, but the dialogue!!! I’m obsessed with all of these punny ocean responses. I chose to say “Sand-sational!”. “Oh buoy!” was a really close one. 😆

Ah, so now I can open up those really pretty pink and purple treasure chests that look like they belong in the ocean! Also known as a Radiant Chest. 😄

Magic Bubble Wand

Since I was already in Hangyodon’s neck of the woods, I decided to chat with him…something about bubbles and a magic wand?

Huh, what exactly do they do!?

Sounds riveting. 🪄🫧

No way! I already love this wand. Does Chococat know about this!? Who am I kidding, of course he must know!

Hangyodon then wanted to meet up near the sign with TOPHAT’s hat and a picture of the Bubble Wand on it. It seems that there are locked treasure chests around the island with plans for the Bubble Wand!

Got the first one! It was near the Sunken Ship.

Next stop was the Hot Springs in Mount Headhead. I love how I have to meet Retsuko right in front of the sign, but then ask her if she knows anything about a sign. 🤣

Second plan! It was really close to where the sign is. You just have to climb a bit.

Last stop is the Crystal Caves in Gemstone Mountain! Hi Pekkle.

Each of the locked treasure chests are fairly easy to get to, but if you need any help reaching them, this website is helpful!

Next part of the quest was to bring all of the Bubble Wand Plan pieces to Chococat.

I love how Pekkle says CHEESE AND CRACKERS and Chococat says GEARS AND GIZMO!

He was able to combine all three pieces so I can craft the Bubble Wand, once and for all!

Well, it is magical. Magic is powerful! 🧙🏻‍♀️ Just ask Kuromi. 😏

After crafting the wand, it was time for me to go catch those Sapphire Seaponies!

I also decided to catch a Crustacean, because why not. This Bubble Wand is so cool. Did you know you can use it on land too?

Ice Cream Social

Pompom’s problem is that no one seems to be coming to the Dessert Boat! I would say it’s probably because it’s so dang far (that’s usually my reasoning), but I forgot that teleporting mailboxes exist. 🙃

Yeah, definitely not the same thing, but he’s right! Promoting the Dessert Boat would definitely help boost your business.

I would be lying if I said I didn’t choose the response about taking selfies.😂 Imagine the ads were just selfies of Pompompurin? I don’t think that’s a bad idea.

Woohoo! So after talking to Tuxedosam, he wanted me to give him some Yellow Dye and Banana Ice Cream (Pompom’s treat) in exchange for printing some advertisements.

I love how we have phones in this game but can’t message or call each other!!! It would have saved me an extra trip going back to the Dessert Boat. 🫡

I DIED IN THIS MOMENT. His back was facing me, and then he says “I have been expecting you, friend”, like we’re in some mobster film. 🤣 #tuxedosamthemafiaboss

Mission (almost) accomplished!

Ugh, I really wish I opted out on this. There’s actually an option to decline this part of the quest (DO IT).

You have to go all over the island and place the ads in those empty, ad holder thingies. I think this job was better suited for someone like Cinnamoroll, who could literally FLY. 😂

Well, I did it! You’re welcome Pompom! Now give me free ice cream for an entire month. 😠

Fun Run: Celebrating Pochacco

I’ll admit it — I wasn’t too happy when I found out Pochacco wanted me to join him for a THIRD run. However, he said favorite, which did intrigue me, and it’s Pochacco so I could never say no. 😅

Oh, this might actually be a fun run. Badtz-Maru decided to join us! 🤓

Gotta love the Rocky reference. 😂

Holy Guacamole! It all makes sense now.

We made our way to the Spooky Swamp, where Kuromi and Keroppi tagged along. The last stop was Gemstone Mountain, where Pekkle and Pompomourin tagged along as well. It was certainly a fun run to remember!

I really love that we got to celebrate Pochacco’s birthday! Did you know his birthday is February 29th? He’s a Leap Year baby. ☺️ Also, instead of posting Gudetama Photos which is what I do at the end of every post, I decided that in celebration of Pochacco, I would post some photos I took during the run.
