Happy Turkey Day aka the official start of the holidays! It feels like people decorate for Christmas earlier and earlier each year, which I don’t really have a problem with, HOWEVER, the holiday vibe, spirit, energy (whatever you call it), doesn’t really start until Thanksgiving…. in my opinion, at least. π Hey, to each their own!
As with any holiday in animal crossing, I love celebrating Turkey Day. Also, I love that it’s called Turkey Day and not Thanksgiving. It’s so much cuter! I think we should just call it that in the real world… who’s with me!?
Just like each year, the day started off with festivities in the plaza! It’s always nice to see Franklin the Turkey. I remember the first time I ever saw Franklin and thought… huh, how strange….. a turkey chef who cooks… turkey?! π₯΄ But alas, the animal crossing world is strictly pescatarian! π
How cute does everyone look in their little hats!? π€ This photo of Ketchup has to be one of the most adorable things I’ve ever seen!
Just call me Franklin’s little sous-chef! π
After many hours of chopping, stirring, (mostly Franklin), and tasting (mostly me), it was time to eat!
Let us give thanks to Franklin for creating this fabulous spread but most of all, for baking two pumpkin pies because one slice is never enough. Amen!
Ah, look who stopped by… Celeste and Blathers!
After this photo was taken, I realized that Lucky wasn’t able to see anything!? His left eye is never exposed and his right eye was covered with an eye patch….!?!?!
It’s nice to see Tom during the holidays… I feel like I usually just see Isabelle! Also, I love how Kapp’n doesn’t know what’s going on and Franklin keeps photobombing every photo.
Sable and Lottie decided to make an appearance as well. π₯°
……and once again, Franklin photobombs. π€£
All in all, it was great day full of yummy food and wonderful company! Once Turkey day is over, you know what that means….. it’s almost my 25 days of New Horizons Christmas!!!!! π₯³ In two days to be exact. π± From December 1st all the way to the 25th, (and New Years Eve, of course!) I will be posting everyday! The main focus will be my festive outfit, but I’ll also be showing my house decor, island decor, and any fun things that come up!
Oh! Also, at the end of each post, I’ll be posting a throwback bulletin post from my New Leaf Christmas back in 2017. Each day, I would post a few lyrics from a Christmas song and sometimes I would even change the lyrics. π I already looked at a few and some of them made me LOL.
I hope everyone has a great Turkey Day… see you in just a few days! π πΌ
